Kaiden was in his garage, building something. It was a weird looking machine. His parents always asked him what he was building, and the answer was always the same, “A time machine.” His friends told him that the machine was not going to work. But he ignored them.

One day, Kaiden finished the machine. He turned on a drone and put it inside of the machine. He flipped a few switches and clicked a few buttons then the machine turned on. He dialed some numbers into the machine. 2354. Kaiden wanted to see what the future would look like. He put on some science goggles and got behind a table. He watched as the machine flickered, then powered off.

“It didn’t work,” Kaiden said sadly, but he kept working every day. He learned from each of his mistakes.

Then something amazing happened. Since the drone Kaiden had used ran out of battery, he used a remote-control car with a camera on it. He flipped a few switches and clicked some buttons. Then the machine powered on. Kaiden dialed some numbers into the machine: 2354. He put on some goggles and got behind a table and watched the machine. The remote control car flickered, then disappeared. Kaiden went to a TV and connected the controller. He saw his house. He drove the remote control car outside of the garage. Kaiden was amazed. He saw floating cars hovering through the streets. He saw that the houses were very futuristic and had glowing lights around them. Some people walked on the sidewalk. They had golden and silver suits on, with special glasses. His experiment had worked! He had time traveled to the future.
