Kaiden and the Video Game

Not long ago, a new game console was launched. It wasn’t an Xbox or a PlayStation—it was the PixelPulse 1! Although it was just a prototype and not the official design, Kaiden couldn’t resist and decided to get it anyway. That’s when the trouble began.

“Hey Mom, check out my new video game!” Kaiden exclaimed.

“That looks nice,” Mom said with a smile, “but before you play, you need to clean your room.”

“Okay,” Kaiden replied, heading to his room.

He shut the door, plugged the console into the TV, and suddenly, the power went out. Confused, Kaiden unplugged the console, and the power flickered back on. But then something strange happened—a swirling purple-black hole appeared on the TV screen! It pulled everything in the room toward it, including Kaiden. Before he knew it, he was sucked into a bizarre, otherworldly dimension.

Aliens speaking incomprehensible languages filled this strange new world. Cars and homes floated in midair, and the food looked utterly revolting.

Determined to explore, Kaiden wandered the alien city. Unfortunately, it didn’t take long for the aliens to notice him. They didn’t think he belonged, and soon he was captured and thrown into a dungeon. He overheard plans to throw him into an arena to fight for his life.

“I have to get out of here!” Kaiden whispered to himself.

But before he could think of a plan, alien guards marched him into the arena. He wore just a white shirt and blue shorts, while his opponent was fully decked out in gleaming armor. Kaiden, however, had one advantage—the controller in his hand. Desperate, he pressed random buttons. To his amazement, the game paused.

“This is my chance!” Kaiden thought.

He sprinted out of the arena while everything was frozen. But as soon as he escaped, the game unpaused, and the alien king roared with fury, spotting him immediately.

“Uh oh,” Kaiden muttered as the king and his guards began chasing him.

Kaiden darted through alleys, scaled small buildings, and tried to lose the aliens. Yet, the aliens seemed eerily smart, predicting his every move. Just as he was about to give up, Kaiden noticed something familiar—a strange box with the same symbol as his controller.

“I need that!” he exclaimed.

Grabbing the box from a bewildered alien merchant, Kaiden dashed down a street only to find himself at a dead end. The aliens cornered him, and the furious alien king grabbed the game console, ripping it in half. Kaiden stared in horror. How would he get back home now?

The king ordered his guards to imprison Kaiden in a heavily guarded cell. Just as things seemed hopeless, a loud ringing shook the city, and—out of the sky—Kaiden’s mom appeared, holding the Player 2 controller!

“We’re in this together!” she said, determination flashing in her eyes.

Together, they fought off guards and confronted the alien king himself. The towering figure was fierce, but Kaiden and his mom were ready to fight bravely. Still, the alien king appeared unbeatable.

“Wait, look at that gem in his chest!” Kaiden pointed out during the battle.

“I think I know what you’re thinking,” Mom replied, a smile hinting on her lips.

With renewed focus, they aimed for the gem. The alien king staggered, backing down under their relentless attacks. Seizing the moment, Kaiden leapt into the air and drove a sword straight into the gem. The king roared in pain, and then—he vanished.

In fact, everything disappeared. The world around them dissolved, and glowing words appeared in front of them: “YOU WON!”

Kaiden and his mom cheered—but not for long.

“I told you to clean your room first,” Mom scolded with a teasing glare.

Soon, everything returned to normal, and Kaiden heard the buzz about the release of the PixelPulse 2. Kids around the world were rushing to get it.

“Oh no,” Kaiden thought, shaking his head. “This could only mean one thing: Part Two.”
