Tyler Thompson wasn’t born a superhero. He earned it the hard way—by accidentally turning his school’s science lab into a crater.
It started with a dare. His best friend Max challenged him to build a jetpack using only soda cans, solar panels, and duct tape. Tyler, always up for a challenge, added a mysterious compound he found in his dad’s garage labeled “Zerotonium.” No one knew what it did. Not even his dad. But it glowed blue, so obviously it was cool.
The moment Tyler turned it on, lightning struck the school. The explosion was massive—but instead of getting hurt, Tyler absorbed the energy. He woke up hovering three feet off the ground, vibrating like a hummingbird on espresso. He could fly. He could run faster than sound. He could punch through steel (though he preferred not to).
Max, meanwhile, was jealous—but in a good way. He didn’t get powers, but he did get ideas. He built a robotic squirrel suit with grappling hooks, nut-launchers, and a tail that doubled as a whip. He called himself Sprocket, and together they became the protectors of NeoNova, a floating city powered by solar energy and dreams.
The Trouble Begins
One evening, while Tyler and Max were racing hover-trams for fun, the city’s emergency sirens blared. A sticky fog rolled in from the east, coating buildings in gooey white fluff. People screamed. Hover-cars stalled mid-air. And from the fog emerged the villainous Dr. Fluffernox, riding a licorice jetpack and cackling like a man who’d eaten too much sugar.
“I warned you, NeoNova!” he shouted. “You laughed at my marshmallow empire! Now you’ll drown in dessert!”
His army of sentient marshmallows—each the size of a refrigerator—began bouncing through the city, trapping citizens in sticky webs and turning playgrounds into squishy prisons.
Tyler zipped into action, dodging marshmallow globs and melting them with kinetic blasts. Sprocket hacked the city’s sprinkler system to rain down hot cocoa, which weakened the marshmallows—but not enough.
Dr. Fluffernox had a secret weapon: MegaMallow, a skyscraper-sized marshmallow with fists like wrecking balls and a voice that sounded like a blender full of pudding.
The Final Showdown
Tyler knew he couldn’t beat MegaMallow alone. He needed more speed, more power. So he flew to the top of NeoNova’s solar tower and absorbed a full blast of solar energy. His suit glowed blue. His eyes sparked. He became a blur of light.
Meanwhile, Sprocket climbed inside MegaMallow through a vent and planted a cocoa bomb in its core. “Tyler!” he shouted through the comms. “You’ve got ten seconds before this thing explodes!”
Tyler flew straight into MegaMallow’s chest, grabbed Sprocket, and launched them both out just as the cocoa bomb detonated. The explosion was glorious—marshmallow fluff rained down like snow, coating the city in sweet victory.
Dr. Fluffernox tried to escape, but Tyler caught him mid-air and tied him up with licorice ropes. “You’re going to jail,” Tyler said, “and I hope they serve vegetables.”
Aftermath
The city cheered. Kids built marshmallow forts. Adults made s’mores. Tyler and Max sat on a rooftop, watching the sunset.
“You know,” Max said, “we make a pretty good team.”
Tyler grinned. “We’re not just a team. We’re legends.”
